Task 12 &13 Barry Island Trip

This is the News Video we made at barry island. During this video we utilised skills we will need to implement in our music video. These consist of green screen use (which was used predominately throughout the video), editing techniques and camera work. We started by planning the video by writing a script and planning what we were going to edit.

We also learnt about story boarding when re-creating a short film shot for shot. By doing this it allowed us to experiment and get used to storyboarding for our music video. We also used camera work when re-creating this short film by using a tripod setup and lighting.

  

Task 11 Music Labels

From doing this task I have learn't a lot about big music companies. This as shown me how Music videos are funded and how different artists start of making there own music video.

Music Video Channels are a common way of consuming music. On August the 1st 1981 MTV, the biggest and first music channel, launched airing the first ever music video "Video Killed the Radio Star". The artist played the most that day was Rod Stewart and a total of 116 video's were played.

Doing this task taught me how music consumption has evolved into different ranges. This gives me a good idea of how my music video would be consumed by different audiences.
